Carlos Baleba injury during Manchester United vs AS Roma match

Carlos Baleba, Manchester United midfielder, suffered a muscle injury during the match against AS Roma on Tuesday evening, in the fourth round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, forcing him to leave the pitch at Old Trafford in the second half.

The injury came just minutes after the start of the second half, when the Cameroonian player made a remarkable individual effort, successfully advancing the ball and dribbling towards the penalty area, getting close to creating a dangerous attacking opportunity for his team, before suddenly stopping and appearing to be affected by an injury to the hamstring.

Carlos Baleba was unable to continue playing, leading the coaching staff to decide to substitute him with Youri Tielemans, who came off the bench to replace him in the midfield of Manchester United.

Carlos Baleba started the match alongside Kobbie Mainoo in midfield, marking the first appearance of the duo together in the team's starting lineup, as manager Michael Carrick opted to rely on them in an attempt to improve the team's performance.

The injury comes on a difficult night for Manchester United, who ended the first half trailing against AS Roma by two goals to nil, with Mattia Solé scoring the first goal in the 11th minute, and Donyell Malen adding the second from a penalty in the 17th minute.
