Manchester United intensifies interest in Galatasaray talent

Manchester United are intensifying their interest in Russian Aleksey Batrakov, a midfielder for Galatasaray, after the club's scouts monitored his performance during the match against VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday, as part of their assessment of the player's development in preparation for a potential signing.

TEAMtalk reported that representatives from Manchester United attended the match alongside scouts from Arsenal and Chelsea to follow the 21-year-old player who scored both goals in Galatasaray's 2-0 victory.

Manchester United have shown interest in signing Aleksey Batrakov, but competition for his services has increased with other clubs entering the race, including Liverpool, Manchester City, and Tottenham.

The Russian player joined Galatasaray from Lokomotiv Moscow last summer and made a strong start, scoring five goals and providing three assists in nine matches as a starter.

Despite interest from Manchester United, the player is not expected to leave in January, as his contract includes a release clause believed to be worth around £50 million, which may pave the way for his transfer in 2027.
