Al Kaabi crowned top scorer in Super League Greece despite being sidelined

Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi has been crowned the top scorer of the Super League Greece for the 2025-2026 season, after delivering impressive scoring performances in the Olympiacos shirt, finishing the season at the top of the scoring chart with 18 goals.

The Moroccan striker received his award during the annual ceremony organized by the Professional Footballers' Association in Greece, in recognition of his contributions throughout the season, which also secured him a place in the tournament's best XI.

Al Kaabi's brilliance extends beyond scoring goals, as he has been one of the influential elements in the results achieved by Olympiacos, thanks to his scoring instinct and ability to provide the team with attacking solutions, confirming his status among the top strikers in Greek football.

During the award ceremony, the Moroccan player expressed his gratitude to his family, teammates, and Olympiacos fans, noting that this recognition serves as motivation to continue working and to deliver better performances in the upcoming phase.

This achievement adds another individual title to Al Kaabi's professional career and enhances the presence of Moroccan players in European stadiums.

The Moroccan striker is currently absent from the pitch after undergoing surgery following a serious injury he sustained last September.
