Officially.. Olympiacos announces the departure of Mendilibar

Olympiacos have officially announced the termination of their contract with Spanish coach José Luis Mendilibar, following a successful tenure with the team.

The club praised Mendilibar, confirming that he has become an integral part of Olympiacos' greatest moments after leading the team to win the UEFA Europa Conference League, fulfilling the dream of the club's fans and Greek football.

The Spanish coach has led Olympiacos to achieve a historic treble in the centenary year of the club's founding, winning the Greek league, cup, and super cup, thus writing his name in golden letters in the club's history.

Olympiacos said in a farewell message to Mendilibar that football, like life, experiences endings to some chapters, but what remains forever is what the coach achieved during his time with the team, affirming that the appreciation, respect, and love from the Olympiacos family will always accompany him.

The club concluded its message by saying: "Thank you for everything, General," referring to the special status that Mendilibar holds among the club's fans.
