Ayoub El Kaabi undergoes successful surgery after serious injury
Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi underwent successful surgery on his leg today, Sunday, September 6, under the supervision of Olympiacos doctor Christos Theo and his medical team at the 'Be Valeros' clinic affiliated with the Athens Medical Center.
Reports indicate that the operation was successful, as the medical team was able to treat the injury to the tibia, which is the largest bone in the lower leg, extending between the knee and the ankle.
Ayoub El Kaabi is expected to undergo a long recovery and rehabilitation period, with initial estimates suggesting that such injuries may require an absence of between six and seven months. However, the exact duration of his time away from the pitch will be determined in the coming hours, following an assessment of his health condition after surgery.
Ayoub El Kaabi has begun his rehabilitation phase, aiming to gradually and safely regain his fitness in preparation for a full return to competitive action, according to Olympiacos.
