Olympiacos secures Leon Bailey deal from Aston Villa

Olympiacos have reached a verbal agreement with Aston Villa to sign Jamaican winger Leon Bailey in a surprise deal during the final hours of the transfer window.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Olympiacos have received the green light from Aston Villa to proceed with the transfer, which will be a permanent move, with the player set to sign a contract until June 2029.

Bailey is currently heading to the Greek capital, Athens, where he will undergo medical tests in preparation for his official transfer, beginning a new experience away from the Premier League.

The deal comes after a period during which the player's career with Aston Villa saw several ups and downs, amid the English club's desire to settle his future, before Olympiacos clinched the deal in the final moments.
