Serious injury threatens Ayoub El Kaabi's season with Olympiacos

Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi suffered a serious injury during Olympiacos' match against Volos on Saturday, in the third round of the Greek league, after sustaining a severe ankle sprain following a strong collision with the opposing team's goalkeeper.

The injury occurred just before the end of the first half, when El Kaabi sprinted towards the ball and managed to touch it before the goalkeeper Marius Siampanis, who fell heavily onto the Moroccan forward's leg, causing a severe twist to his ankle during the collision.

The medical staff rushed to intervene to assist El Kaabi, before he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher amidst applause from the fans, while Armando Gonzales came on to complete the match.
