El Mehdi Benabid returns to Wydad Casablanca goal against Moghreb Atlético Tétouan
Wydad Casablanca will welcome back their first-choice goalkeeper El Mehdi Benabid for the upcoming clash against Moghreb Atlético Tétouan, scheduled for next Saturday at the Arab Zaouli Stadium, as part of the sixth round of the national professional league.
El Mehdi Benabid returns after serving a two-match suspension imposed by the disciplinary committee of the National Professional Football League, following his behavior during his team's match against Difaâ El Jadida in the league.
Wydad Casablanca relied on their second goalkeeper Ghanimi during the absence of their first-choice keeper, who took charge of the team's goal in their matches against Amal Tiznit and Ittihad Tawraka, in the fourth and fifth rounds of the competition.
The red team, Wydad Casablanca, achieved a valuable victory over Ittihad Tanger with a goal to nil in the match that took place last Saturday evening, in the fifth round, marking their first win under their new Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi.
Wydad Casablanca has increased its tally to 8 points, moving up to third place in the league table, ahead of hosting Moghreb Atlético Tétouan, in a match where they aim to continue their positive results and strengthen their position among the top teams.
