Zamalek escalate legally against Zizo and demand a percentage of his advertising contracts
Kamel Shaib, the legal advisor for Zamalek SC, has revealed that the club's management is moving to take legal action against Ahmed Mostafa 'Zizo', the current player for Al Ahly FC, following ongoing financial and contractual disputes between the two parties since the player's departure from the white team.
Shuaib explained in television statements that Zamalek SC has submitted an official complaint to the Public Funds Prosecution and the Attorney General against the player, demanding 20% of the advertising and sponsorship contracts he signed during his time with the club. He pointed out that the number of these advertisements exceeded 10, according to what was mentioned.
In this context, the legal advisor denied the existence of any outstanding financial dues for Zizo at Zamalek SC, considering that the amounts the player is demanding under the title of 'bonus' are not based, according to him, on official documents or legally approved papers within the club.
Shuaib pointed out that the dispute between the parties is still ongoing before the relevant authorities, explaining that Zamalek SC has appealed the decision to dismiss the complaint previously submitted by the player to the Egyptian Football Association.
Al Ahly FC has filed a counter-complaint against Zizo, following what they described as the player's repeated absences from team training in the period leading up to his departure from the team.
The legal advisor concluded his statements by emphasizing Zamalek SC's management's adherence to its legal position, considering that the player has overstepped his bounds against the club. He stressed that the management will not waive its financial and moral rights and will continue legal proceedings until final rulings are issued in the dispute.
