Al Ahly FC clarifies its position on signing Fatouh after contract renewal with Zamalek SC stalls

Al Ahly FC have made a decision regarding the potential signing of Ahmed Fatouh, the left-back of Zamalek SC, in the upcoming period, amid circulating news about the player's future with the white team, following the stalled negotiations over renewing his contract.

Ahmed Fatouh's contract with Zamalek SC will end at the conclusion of the 2026-2027 season, granting him the right to negotiate and sign with any other club without referring to his club's management, starting from January 2027.

According to reports, Al Ahly FC have not included the signing of Zamalek SC's full-back in their plans, and there is no intention to enter negotiations to acquire him in the upcoming period.

The report indicated that one of the player agents presented the idea of signing Ahmed Fatouh to the officials at Al Ahly FC, but the club's management categorically rejected the proposal, confirming that the player is not part of their technical or contractual considerations.

A source added that Al Ahly FC have not made any contact with the player or his representatives, denying the accuracy of circulating news regarding negotiations between the two parties.

The report concluded by confirming that the management of Al Ahly FC has closed the file on signing Ahmed Fatouh and is not considering bringing him in, either during the upcoming transfer window or at present.
