The truth about Mahmoud Hani's transfer to Al Ahly in January

Mohamed Khattab, the contracts manager of Qanah FC, revealed the truth about Al Ahly FC's interest in signing Mahmoud Hani, known as 'Mody Shalata', during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Mohamed Khattab, the contracts manager at Qanah FC, stated during an interview on "Modern MTI": "Mahmoud Hani is currently the talk of the town in the Egyptian League after his outstanding performances with the team, but the management of Qanah and the coaching staff have one goal, which is the benefit of the team."

He added: "If Al Ahly FC wanted to sign Mahmoud Hani or any player from Qanah FC and contacted us, we would certainly not object. Joining Al Ahly FC or any club from the top of the Egyptian League is a dream for any player, but there is still a valid contract period between us that governs the situation, and the player has 4 seasons remaining on his contract."

Qanah FC benefited from Mahmoud Hani's brilliance last season during the Egyptian League, where he was named the best player of the tournament and contributed to the team's promotion. Recently, the player has impacted Qanah's performance, especially against Al Ahly FC.

He concluded: "Egyptian football has developed significantly in the past period and has become more professional, and the performance of the national team in the FIFA World Cup 2026 proved that. I want us to adopt the European model in managing the transfer market and the financial resources of clubs."
