Amr El Gazar reveals details of his transfer negotiations to Al Ahly
Al Ahly player Amr El Gazar has revealed that he was close to transferring to Zamalek earlier before negotiations stalled, which resulted in him continuing with Ghazl El Mahalla. This came before his direction changed later, and he officially joined Al Ahly.
Amr El Gazar stated in remarks via Al Ahly Channel: "I sat with the officials of Zamalek SC during my time at Ghazl El Mahalla in the Professional League, and I signed contracts to join the team after we agreed on all matters, but the issue did not complete, and then I continued with Ghazl."
He added: "After that, I agreed to move to Al Ahly after they contacted me, and Osama Hilal, the contracts manager, was the first to speak to me. He told me they had been watching me for a while, so I informed him that I had no conditions. He said that all other matters would be with Ghazl El Mahalla, but it didn't work out."
He continued: "After that, I moved to Bank El Ahly, and Tarek Mustafa wanted me to be with the team, so I transferred there."
Speaking about the behind-the-scenes of his transfer to Al Ahly, El Gazar explained: "Osama Hilal contacted me again and told me that Al Ahly stands by its word. I gave him my usual response, stating that I had only spent 6 months at Bank El Ahly, but he said he just needed to know my answer."
"The matter has ended with my transfer to Al Ahly, and I informed my family that I would sit down with the club officials. The agents were with me, and I told Osama Hilal that I have no requests, because my dream since childhood has been to play for Al Ahly."
