LaLiga is set to implement a new step in television coverage, featuring referees speaking after matches starting from the 11th round, which follows the El Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reports that this step will be implemented in two matches from each round in LaLiga, through the broadcasting networks "Movistar" and "DAZN".

This step is part of a series of changes being implemented during the 2026/2027 season, as the television coverage has included interviews with referees before the start of two matches in both LaLiga and the second division, a first in Spanish football.

Changes include allowing a camera inside the referees' dressing room minutes before matches kick off, as part of a move towards greater openness to the public.

The newspaper clarified that referees will start appearing after matches from the 11th round, scheduled for the end of October, marking an additional step in the new technical policy of the referees' committee.

This initiative joins other means to clarify refereeing decisions, including the weekly summary of the review time program and clips from the referee camera known as REFCam, which are published through the accounts of LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation on social media.
