After the twins' suspension, who will lead Egypt against Malawi?

Tariq Suleiman, the assistant coach of the Egypt national team, will lead the Pharaohs in two matches against Malawi on November 13 and 17 in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027, following FIFA's decision to suspend Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the team, and Ibrahim Hassan, the team manager.

FIFA has decided to suspend twins Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan for 3 matches and player Mostafa Ziko for 5 matches as a disciplinary penalty due to the events and clashes that occurred during Egypt's match against Argentina in the Round of 16 of the last FIFA World Cup.

The Egyptian Football Association has submitted a request to FIFA's Disciplinary Committee for detailed reasons and justifications regarding the issued decisions. This is to study and assess the legal position in preparation for filing an appeal in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Egypt will face Malawi on Friday, November 13, in the third round of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.

The Pharaohs will face Malawi in the return leg on Tuesday, November 17.
