The truth about Al Ahly FC's negotiations to sign Mahmoud Mamdouh from Modern

Ahmad Shobair has revealed the truth about Al Ahly FC's negotiations to sign Mahmoud Mamdouh, a forward from Modern, during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Shobir confirmed in his statements that the rumors circulating about negotiations with Mahmoud Mamdouh are not true, stating: "We contacted a responsible source within the Modern management, and he firmly confirmed to us that he has not received any communications or official offers from any party. We also inquired with the player himself, who confirmed that no one has spoken to him or opened negotiations with him so far."

Shobeir questioned Al Ahly FC's need to sign a new striker, expressing surprise at this move given the current abundance of attacking options in the team, where the trio Sofiane Ben Djida, Mounsef Beqar, and Aqtay Abdallah are present.

Aqtay Abdallah added that negotiating with Modern will be very difficult, explaining that Walid Dabbas, the club president, manages the transfer file with an investment mentality and may ask for a large sum of money in exchange for releasing the player, which is a legitimate right for the club.
