Behind the scenes of Mohamed Awad's return to Zamalek's goal against Petrol Asyut
Mohamed Awad has returned to guard Zamalek SC's goal following a joint decision by head coach Moataz Gamal and goalkeeper coach Ayman Taher, according to media personality Abdel Nasser Zidan, who revealed the behind-the-scenes coordination for selecting the starting goalkeeper in the match against Petrol Asyut.
Zinedine Zidane stated in remarks on the "Stadium Egypt" program, broadcast on the "Modern MTI" channel: "Mohamed Awad participated for the second time this season with Zamalek SC, after he played against the Djibouti champion in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League."
Maamoun Gamal held a session with Ayman Tahr, the goalkeeping coach, during the Petrol Asyut match camp, and they agreed to rest El Mahdi Soliman and start Mohamed Awad in the match, with El Mahdi on the bench.
Ayman Taher has confirmed to Moataz Gamal that Mohamed Awad is fighting in training to participate again, unlike Mohamed Sobhi who is currently out of consideration.
El Mahdi Soliman accepted the decision during the last lecture on the night of the Petrol Asyut match, and he did not raise any issues, as some have claimed.
