Liverpool identify Scott replacement from Borussia Dortmund

Liverpool are considering a move for Felix Nmecha, the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, as a potential replacement for Alex Scott, given the high financial demands being placed by AFC Bournemouth for the English midfielder.

According to reports, AFC Bournemouth are asking for up to £115 million for the approval of Alex Scott's departure, which has led Liverpool to consider other options to bolster their midfield during the upcoming transfer window.

Felix Nmecha, 26, is showing openness to a return to English football, despite Borussia Dortmund's insistence on his continued presence, confirming that the player is not for sale.

Reports suggest that a bid of around £76 million could prompt the German club to enter negotiations regarding the midfielder's future, although Borussia Dortmund's stated position is to retain his services.

Felix Nmecha joined Borussia Dortmund in 2023 from Wolfsburg for €30 million, and his current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2030.

The German midfielder has played 10 matches for Borussia Dortmund this season, scoring two goals, with Liverpool monitoring him as they consider strengthening their midfield options before making a final decision on targeted signings.
