Doku: Proud of my team after victory at Anfield, and this is what Mahrez told me

Jérémy Doku, the winger for Manchester City, expressed his happiness at the victory over Liverpool by three goals to nil, confirming that playing at Anfield represents a significant challenge. He also spoke about his role in the match and the goal he scored in his statements following the game.

Doku said: "I am very happy, we know how difficult it is to come here, the match was very intense from the start, and we are all happy to win it."

He added: "Coming to Anfield is always accompanied by a strong and intense atmosphere; I have always played matches here that were characterized by strength, and that is what we expected. I am proud of my team; we handled it well."

Regarding the instructions he received from Enzo Maresca before participating in the match, Doku explained: "He just told me the position I would play in. When you are on the bench, you look for a way to impact the game, and I did that."

Doku spoke about his goal, saying: "I don't want to attribute the credit to myself, there are those who are above me who give me the ability to do these things."

When asked whether Manchester City players had spoken about off-field events, Doku concluded his remarks by saying: "I am here only to talk about the match, we have prepared well for the encounter, and I am happy that we achieved the victory."
