Kompany: We made two mistakes that cost us two goals against FC Augsburg
Belgian Vincent Kompany, manager of Bayern Munich, expressed his dissatisfaction with the 2-2 draw against FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga, confirming that his team created numerous chances but paid the price for two defensive errors.
Vincent Kompany said: "There are no easy away games. We created a lot of chances, and honestly, we didn't expect to create this many. We shot 29 times, and four goals were disallowed for offside."
He added: "We made two mistakes that cost us two goals, and that’s football sometimes. Of course, I can’t say I’m happy that we didn’t win, and I think we deserved to score more goals. But when you make two mistakes like that, you can’t also say you deserved to win, and I told that to the players."
Bayern Munich's coach said: "It was a match like a rollercoaster, especially with all those disallowed goals for offside, but the team showed strong character and kept playing. We now need to focus on the next match."
