Bayern Munich come from behind to draw with Augsburg
Bayern Munich held Augsburg to a 2-2 draw on Saturday in the fifth round of the Bundesliga, in a match that saw the fastest goal in the competition's history, along with fluctuations in the scoreline and continuous attempts from the Bavarian team to come back.
Robin Fellhauer opened the scoring for Augsburg just 8 seconds in, capitalizing on a mistake by Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, breaking the record for the fastest goal in Bundesliga history.
Ismael Saibari equalised for Bayern Munich in the 55th minute, before Rodrigo Ribeiro restored the lead for the hosts in the 64th minute.
Bayern Munich continued to push for an equaliser, with Nathaniel Brown scoring the second goal for the Bavarians in the 80th minute, following a pass from Harry Kane, making the score 2-2.
According to the results of the fifth round available, Bayern Munich are in second place in the Bundesliga with 11 points, while Augsburg have 8 points, with the competition for the top positions still ongoing. Borussia Dortmund lead the table with 13 points.
