Leeds United are holding on to their Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemović, rejecting his departure during the January transfer window amid interest from Bayern Munich and Inter. The club is determined to keep him despite the offers coming in.

TEAMtalk has reported that Leeds United's management does not intend to let the player go, as they are preparing to take a firm stance regarding his future during the upcoming summer, given their desire to rely on him as part of the team's long-term plans.

Tarik Muharemović, 23 years old, joined Leeds United from US Sassuolo last summer in a deal worth £34 million, and the defender has quickly adapted, delivering impressive performances that helped the team secure fifth place in the Premier League.

The site noted that Bayern Munich and Inter are following the player's development, studying the possibility of moving to sign him, while his name has also been linked with FC Barcelona among the clubs interested in acquiring him in 2027.

Bosnian international defender Tarik Muharemović is under contract with Leeds United until 2031, and the management sees him as an important element in their project, instead of selling him for quick profits. Although no official price has been set for his departure, estimates suggest that the club may not consider selling him for less than £60 million.

There are no indications of Tarik Muharemović's departure in January, as Leeds United focus on maintaining team stability and continuing to develop, with manager Daniel Farke insisting on keeping the defender in his squad.
