Tony Kroos on track to become a coach
Real Madrid are considering bringing back Toni Kroos to the club structure, a move that has garnered significant interest within the club and its fans, given the status the German star left during his years wearing the team's shirt.
Despite retiring from football, Toni Kroos has not completely distanced himself from Real Madrid, as he continues to visit the club through the academy that bears his name. This keeps the relationship with the club alive and makes a return to work within the royal institution an open possibility.
José Ángel Sánchez spoke with Kroos regarding Florentino's desire for the German star to be present daily at Valdebebas. However, the discussions did not reach a suitable format that would allow for the return at that time.
According to "AS", both parties did not wish for a formal return just for the sake of it, leaving the idea open for the future, given the strong relationship and mutual understanding between Kroos and Real Madrid, with the conviction that this meeting will happen at the right time.
Toni Kroos has clear ideas about his professional future, and he is currently working at the academy he founded in Boadilla, enjoying the experience of contributing to the development and formation of young players.
After two years away from the competition and the daily pressures of football, the German midfielder is considering the bench as a potential destination in the next phase, a move that could lead him to the world of coaching.
Kroos has received coaching accreditation allowing him to work up to the third tier in Spain, benefiting from the rules that grant experienced footballers the opportunity to directly access training courses tailored for professionals.
Despite his current ability to work in the coaching staff of a team in Primera Federación, Kroos prefers to take it step by step before making a final decision about his coaching future.
Toni Kroos has informed the Spanish Football Federation of his desire to participate in the coaching course for professional players scheduled for the 2027-2028 season.
This course, which the UEFA limits to only 20 participants per season, allows for the acquisition of an 'A' license, which permits the holder to coach teams at various levels.
At present, due to the reliance he has, Toni Kroos can work as an assistant in coaching staff, but he cannot assume the position of head coach for a team in the first or second Spanish divisions.
Thus, Toni Kroos's return to Real Madrid or his entry into the coaching world appear to be open matters, with the German player preferring to take his next steps calmly and without haste.
