Real Madrid's stance on Rodrigo's departure after Arsenal interest

Real Madrid have made a decision regarding Rodrygo's potential departure during the winter transfer window, amid Arsenal's interest in signing the Brazilian winger, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

TEAMtalk has reported that Arsenal have been in communications with Rodrigo's camp since last September, after the club had explored the possibility of signing him in the summer of 2025, before the idea was shelved following the player's injury with a torn cruciate ligament.

Arsenal are still interested in signing Rodrigo in 2027, but the player is continuing his recovery from injury, with hopes of returning to the pitch by the end of the year.

Real Madrid have informed Rodrygo's representatives that he will remain part of José Mourinho's plans until the end of the season. The club will not consider any loan offers for him during January, while the coaching staff focuses on getting the player back to full fitness.

Romano pointed out that Rodrygo himself wants to continue with Real Madrid until at least next summer, confirming that the current priority is his return to the pitch, while the possibility of leaving next summer remains open without a final decision regarding his future.
