The statistic that raises concern for Villarreal before facing Real Madrid
Villarreal hope to improve their results after the international break as they visit Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu in LaLiga.
Villarreal have a concerning record after breaks last season, having won just one of the four matches they played.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", the current season has fewer stoppages in terms of number but they are longer, as LaLiga will return this week after nearly 20 days since the last match.
Last season, Villarreal had one win, two losses, and a draw after breaks, scoring four goals and conceding six. They lost to Atlético 2-0, then drew with Real Betis 2-2, before winning against Real Mallorca 2-1.
The last match after the break ended in a defeat for Villarreal against Girona, with a score of one goal to nil at the Montilivi Stadium on April 6. The team hopes to change this record when they face Real Madrid at the Bernabéu.
