Officially: Hamdy Fathy to miss Egypt national team camp due to injury

Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of the Egypt national football team, has announced that Hamdy Fathy, a player for Al-Wakrah, will miss the Egypt national team's current camp due to injury.

Hassan has confirmed that the player will miss Egypt's matches against Angola and South Sudan on September 25 and 29 in the Africa Cup qualifiers. Additionally, Fathy will be absent from the friendly match against South Africa on October 4.

Hamdy Fathy will be absent from the camp due to difficulties in joining the three matches, joining the duo Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet and Yasser Ibrahim, who are also missing from the national team due to injury.

The Egypt national team camp will continue from September 21 to October 6 in preparation for the qualifying matches for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Egypt's national team is in Group B of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, alongside Angola, South Sudan, and Malawi.
