Al Ahly FC confirms stance on calling up Hossam Hassan for Emam Ashour and Mohamed Hany

A source within Al Ahly FC revealed the management's stance on the possibility of calling up Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egypt national team, for the duo Emam Ashour and Mohamed Hany during the upcoming international break, despite their absence from recent matches with the team.

Al-Hussein's coach Hossam Hassan has decided to exclude Emam Ashour from his plans recently due to a decline in his technical level, especially following the match against Qanah FC in the league, which ended in a 3-3 draw.

Following that, club officials held a session with the player, during which they stressed the need for commitment and focus on the pitch, confirming that his return to the starting lineup is contingent upon correcting his path and avoiding any issues outside the field.

Despite Emam Ashour's absence from Al Ahly FC's recent matches, Hossam Hassan has decided to include him in Egypt's squad during the international break in November. This decision has raised questions about the club's stance on calling up a player who has not been regularly participating.

In this context, a source within Al Ahly FC confirmed that Hossam Hassan has complete freedom to choose the players he deems suitable to represent the national team, even if they do not participate regularly with their clubs.

The source clarified in press statements that the exclusion of Emam Ashour and Mohamed Hany from Hossam Hassan's considerations is due to a technical viewpoint specific to the Al Ahly FC manager, noting that Hossam Hassan has his own vision that must be respected.

He added that the manager of the Egypt national team relies heavily on the duo in his starting lineup, which gives him the right to call them up during the upcoming camp, regardless of their current situation with Al Ahly FC.

The source concluded its statements by confirming that there are no reservations or negative reactions within the club regarding the inclusion of Emam Ashour and Mohamed Hany in the Egypt national team in the upcoming period.
