Saud Abdulhamid faces potential absence from Saudi national team in Gulf Cup 27

Concerns have resurfaced regarding Saud Abdulhamid's participation with the Saudi national team in the Gulf Cup 27 after injury ruled him out of his recent matches with RC Lens.

Reports indicate that the player faces the risk of missing the Gulf tournament, which will be held in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6.

Sources have previously revealed that Abdelhamid is suffering from swelling in his knee and is undergoing a treatment and rehabilitation program at RC Lens, which has raised doubts about his readiness to join the national team.

The Saudi defender missed RC Lens' matches against RC Strasbourg Alsace and FC Lorient in Ligue 1, as well as the clash with SK Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League opener.
