For the second consecutive time, Salem Al-Dawsari is out of the Green squad
Saudi national team coach Georgios Donis has excluded captain Salem Al-Dawsari from the announced squad for the Doha camp ahead of the upcoming international break.
This marks the second consecutive absence of Al Hilal star Mohammed Al-Qahtani from the national team, having missed participation in the Gulf Cup "Gulf 27" due to injury, despite the team's victory in the tournament.
Al-Dawsari has returned to partial participation in matches recently, but he has not regained his full physical readiness. He also missed Al Hilal's recent squad due to injury.
Coach Donis did not call up the player due to his lack of readiness, giving other names the opportunity to participate in the Saudi national team's camp in the Qatari capital.
The Green Falcons will hold a training camp from November 9 to 17, including a friendly match against South Korea on Friday, November 13, followed by a clash with Uzbekistan on Tuesday, November 17.
The goalkeeping list includes Mahmoud Al-Owais, Hamad Youssef, and Abdulquddus Atiah, while the defensive list features Abdulilah Al-Amri, Sultan Tunkar, Abdullah Al-Hatife, Hassan Al-Tambakti, and Ali Lajami.
Dounis has also selected Nawaf Boushal, Mohammed Mahrazi, Saud Abdulhamid, Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat, Moteb Al-Harbi, and Feras Al-Buraikan, alongside Musab Al-Juwayr, Mukhtar Ali, Mohamed Kanno, and Ziyad Al-Johani.
The selections also included Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Nasser Al-Dawsari, Abdulmalik Al-Ayyiri, Sultan Mandash, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Marwan Al-Sahafi, Mohammed Al-Kuwaykibi, and Ahmed Al-Ghamdi.
The coach has completed his squad by including Turki Al-Ammar, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Feras Al-Buraikan, and Abdullah Al-Salem, bringing the total number to 30 players, without the presence of the Green Falcons' captain Salem Al-Dawsari.
