Officially.. Valencia sack Gorlai and Corberan after disastrous start to the season
Valencia have officially announced the end of their relationship with CEO of football Ron Gorlay and manager Carlos Corberán, following the team's disastrous start to the current season.
The decision to sack the manager came after Valencia collected only one point from their first five rounds, placing them at the bottom of the La Liga table, having scored just one goal while conceding 10.
Valencia have decided to dismiss members of the administrative staff linked to Gorlay, with Pablo Sanchez, coach of the Valencia B team, taking temporary charge of the first team until the announcement of the new structure for the sports management.
This follows heavy losses against Deportivo La Coruña and Barcelona, before falling again to Sevilla, prompting the club's management to consider a major restructuring of the sports project.
