According to the Spanish newspaper, Real Madrid are looking to make a move in the winter transfer market, with Martín Zubimendi highlighted as one of the options, especially given his reduced role at Arsenal, where he has started the team's five official matches this season from the bench.

Zubimendi is highly regarded at Real Madrid due to his performances with the Spanish national team, having taken charge of the midfield after Rodri's injury. He also participated in crucial moments with the national team, including the final of the UEFA Euro 2024 and the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Arsenal paid €70 million to sign Martín Zubimendi last season, and he signed a contract until 2030. The player is also attracting interest from Chelsea, and the same source believes that Real Madrid has not adequately compensated for the departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić, leaving a gap in their build-up play.
