Yamal seeks redemption against Atlético at Metropolitano
Lamine Yamal, star of FC Barcelona, is preparing for a new clash against Atlético tomorrow, Sunday, at the Metropolitano Stadium, in a match that carries significant importance in the battle for the top of LaLiga, giving him a chance to make up for the disappointment of his last two visits to the Madrid team's fortress.
According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Lamine Yamal has a good record against Atlético, having scored two goals and assisted three in 11 encounters, although Diego Simeone's team is one of the most capable opponents at limiting his threat.
In their first visit to the Metropolitano Stadium last April, FC Barcelona won with a late goal scored by Robert Lewandowski. However, Lamine Yamal left the pitch angrily after a disagreement with José Ramón de la Fuente, the goalkeeping coach, over the instructions he received during the match, to the extent that he did not celebrate the winning goal.
The second visit came just a few days later in the UEFA Champions League, where the young star delivered an impressive performance, especially in the first half, after scoring the first goal and leading FC Barcelona's attempts to come back in the match, but his efforts were not enough to achieve that.
Yamal returns to the Metropolitano Stadium once again, searching for redemption against Atlético, in a match that could have a direct impact on the LaLiga title race.
