Manchester United start Champions League campaign with thumping win

Manchester United achieved a significant and deserved victory against Sabah, winning 4-0 in the first round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, during the match held at Old Trafford.

Matheus Cunha opened the scoring for Manchester United, after an assist from Dorgho, before Bruno Fernandes added the second goal from a setup by Yuri Tielemans, giving the hosts a comfortable advantage during the first half.

Just before the end of the first half, specifically in the 45th minute, Benjamin Šeško scored the third goal for Manchester United after receiving a brilliant pass from Bryan Mbeumo, allowing him to break away from the goalkeeper, round him, and then easily place the ball into the empty net.

Lisandro Martínez capped off Manchester United's four-goal haul in the 68th minute, after Bruno Fernandes played a free-kick to Zirkzee, whose shot deflected off the defence and the goalkeeper, before Martínez followed up to slot it into the net.

With this victory, Manchester United secured their first three points in the UEFA Champions League, while Sabah remains without any points in their first participation in the tournament in their history.
