Paris Saint-Germain host Slovan Bratislava in the first round of the UEFA Champions League, as the French team begins its campaign to defend the title for the third consecutive season.

UEFA has highlighted key statistics from the match between the two teams, who are meeting for the third time, having previously faced each other only twice in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League in the 2011/2012 season. The first match ended in a 0-0 draw, before Paris Saint-Germain won 1-0 in France.

Paris Saint-Germain are set to make their 19th appearance in the UEFA Champions League, having participated in every edition since the 2012/2013 season, and reached the knockout stages in their last 14 appearances. Slovan Bratislava is participating in the UEFA Champions League for only the second time, having made its first appearance in the 2024/2025 season and finishing the league stage in 35th place after losing all eight of its matches.
