Enrique: I want to continue achieving this, and we have the best right-back in the world

Spanish manager Luis Enrique praised his players' performance following Paris Saint-Germain's 5-1 victory over Le Havre in the ninth round of Ligue 1.

Luis Enrique stated that his team succeeded in overcoming a goal deficit, even though they did not deserve to concede that goal. He added: "When I look at everything that happened during the match, I feel happy because some players did not get enough time to participate. If we want to win titles, we need everyone, and with injuries, opportunities arise for other players."

Speaking about Achraf Hakimi's brilliance and his three-goal haul, Luis Enrique said: "Hakimi is the leader of the team, and we know his capabilities well. He is closer to a forward, as he plays in an advanced position and has the ability to burst forward and create goals. He is clearly a forward when we have the ball, and when we don't, everyone turns into defenders. He is the best right-back in the world, but what I like is not just that he scored three goals, but that he is consistently at the highest level and always ready, which means a lot to our team."

Luis Enrique touched on Mika Gudets' impressive form lately, confirming that the player is enjoying special days after scoring against Olympique Lyon and becoming a father, while also gaining more confidence. He explained: "He did almost everything well today; he has the ability to score and create goals, and he is providing a very high defensive level, which is important for a forward at Paris Saint-Germain. I am happy to see a player able to adapt so quickly."

Regarding Magnes Akliouch and the multiple positions he plays in, the coach confirmed the ease of relying on him, stating that the club noticed from day one his great ability to keep the ball and not lose it, pointing out that this represents a fundamental requirement for a player capable of occupying more than one position on the pitch.

Luis Enrique also spoke about the policy of promoting young talents to the first team, explaining that this approach has been one of his goals since taking charge. However, he emphasized the need for players to possess the required quality, considering that promoting young players is not an easy task.

He added: "David Poly has shown that he is developing well, as he trains with us daily and has become more comfortable and adapted. It is time to give these players minutes to participate, but we must be careful, as the level must be appropriate."

Luis Enrique concluded his statements by affirming his desire to continue writing history with Paris Saint-Germain, saying: "Since my arrival, my only goal has been to write history with Paris Saint-Germain, and I want to continue achieving that. I am lucky to be at the best club in the world, with a sporting management and a president, in a wonderful city. I want to enjoy this experience and continue working to improve our level."
