Paris Saint-Germain faces a growing crisis in its youth development program, despite the historic results achieved by its youth teams. The club is struggling to sustainably integrate academy graduates into the first team, while a significant number of talents have left the club.

Last summer saw the departure of the vast majority of the 2008 generation players from Paris, highlighting the challenges faced by the academy in retaining its top talents. Emanuel Mbemba's move to Paris FC is a prominent example of this issue, as he was described within the club as a "very painful symbol" of the current situation.

The relationship between the youth teams' coaching staff and the first team raises questions within the club, given the irregularity of meetings and communication between the two parties. According to "L'Équipe", the last meeting between the two staffs dates back to more than two years ago.

A Paris Saint-Germain staff member expressed concern about the future of the academy, stating: "If we can no longer retain our young players when they leave the academy, and we also fail to attract the best talents from the start, the situation could become complicated."

In contrast, Paris Saint-Germain is committed to the importance of its youth sector within its sporting project, affirming that development "has been and will remain one of the cornerstones of our project", despite the challenges associated with retaining talent and providing them with real opportunities to reach the first team.
