Bank guarantee threatens Hadj Moussa's move to Al Ittihad

The transfer of Algerian international Anis Hadj Moussa to Al-Ittihad is threatened with failure, as negotiations between the Saudi club and Feyenoord have stumbled due to a disagreement over the financial guarantees required to complete the deal.

According to the Dutch network 'ESPN', the federation was striving hard to sign Anis Hadj Moussa, allocating around €37 million to complete the deal. Meanwhile, other sources, including the English site 'GiveMeSport', estimated the value of the offer at €42.5 million.

Feyenoord and the federation have been in intensive negotiations recently, but they have not reached a final agreement before the deadline for closing the deal.

Al-Ittihad were required to complete the procedures before 11:59 PM on Sunday Dutch time, but Feyenoord stipulated that they receive a bank guarantee from the Saudi club as part of the conditions to finalize the deal.

ESPN reports that Al-Ittihad's management has not shown a willingness to provide this guarantee, explaining that this type of guarantee is not typically used in Saudi Arabia, which has complicated negotiations.

The source noted that Feyenoord faced a similar situation in the summer of 2025, when they requested a bank guarantee from Al-Nassr for the approval of the transfer of their Slovenian defender David Hancko, before the player later moved to Atlético for €35 million on a contract that runs for five seasons.

Anis Hadj Moussa is 24 years old and is contracted to Feyenoord until the summer of 2030, giving the Dutch club a strong position in determining the terms of his departure.
