Ittihad begins moves to renew Ahmed Al-Ghamdi's contract

Al-Ittihad have moved early to extend Ahmed Al-Ghamdi's contract for three years, in an attempt to secure the player's future before he enters the free period.

Ittihad aims to reach a final agreement with Al-Ghamdi, who is 25 years old, and secure his continued presence in the team before he becomes able to negotiate with other clubs without referring to the management.

The player is contracted to Al-Ittihad until June 2027, with the management awaiting January, when he will enter the last six months of his contract, allowing him to negotiate and transfer to any club.

Ahmed Al-Ghamdi has joined Ittihad on loan from Al-Ettifaq in January 2024, before the club's management purchased his contract permanently during the summer of the same year, with a deal extending until June 2027.

The player previously had a short loan spell with Neom during the second half of the season before last. Al-Ittihad is currently focused on renewing his contract to enhance technical stability and retain his services.
