Aston Villa target Fenerbahçe winger amid uncertainty over Garnacho's future
Aston Villa are looking to sign Oğuz Aydın, the winger from Fenerbahçe, after contacting the player's agent. This move could impact Alejandro Garnacho's future, who is on loan from Chelsea, according to TEAMtalk.
The same source reported that Aston Villa have begun their discussions regarding Oğuz Aydın, who is 25 years old and is under contract with Fenerbahçe until the summer of 2028.
The Turkish winger has scored three goals and provided three assists in 16 matches across all competitions this season, while his contributions have reached 25 goals between scoring and assisting in 85 matches with the club.
Aston Villa's interest in the player comes at a time when Garnacho has only participated in five matches this season, since joining on loan from Chelsea in the summer of 2026.
Despite this, journalist Graeme Bailey pointed out in September that Aston Villa are confident in the abilities of the Argentine winger, while journalist Dean Jones mentioned that the player wishes to move to the club permanently and continue with them in the long term.
The loan agreement includes an option to buy Garnacho for €50 million, provided he plays enough matches. The report suggests that Aston Villa's interest in Oğuz Aydın may motivate the Argentine player to improve his performance and increase his appearances to enhance his chances of staying.
