Sfaxien fly to Nigeria ahead of clash with Shooting Stars

The CS Sfaxien delegation is heading to Nigeria this evening, September 1, 2026, in preparation for their match against Shooting Stars in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The team departs from Tunis-Carthage International Airport on a journey to Lagos, Nigeria, with a stop in Casablanca, and is set to arrive at its destination in the early hours of Wednesday, September 2.

Sfaxien are preparing for their first match in the continental competition against Shooting Stars on Saturday, September 5, starting at 4 PM local time in Tunisia. The Tunisian team is looking to achieve a positive result ahead of the return leg.

The technical staff of Sfaxien has selected a squad of 22 players for this journey, which is as follows:

Goalkeeping:

Dahman, Al-Halawi, M. Ali Jami'a.

Defence:

Maâloul, Mthlouthi, Mondico, Habachia, Darbali, Mehdhabi, Ben Ali Akid.

Midfield:

Wadrago, Moutyaba, Moutibi, Al-Saghir, Al-Absi, Al-Trabelsi.

The attacking line:

Ben Nasser, Blouafi, Ougboli, Loulindo, Diara.

The team is set to continue its preparations in Nigeria according to the program established by the coaching staff, before facing Shooting Stars in the first leg match next Saturday.
