Official: Manchester City announces signing of Allan Elias
Manchester City have officially completed the signing of Brazilian winger Alan Elias from Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, pending international clearance. The player has signed a five-year contract that will last until the summer of 2031.
Allan, 22, primarily plays as a right winger but can also participate in midfield or as a second striker. He has previously played as a full-back with Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras.
The official website of Manchester City has stated that Alain is the latest player to transfer from Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras to the English club, following Vitor Reis, who joined in January 2025, and Gabriel Jesus, who moved to the team in 2017.
Allan said after joining Manchester City: "This is an unbelievable moment for me. Manchester City, with everything it has achieved over the past 15 years, is one of the most attractive clubs for players in the world. To sit here today and say that I have joined it is the proudest moment of my life."
He added: "I love Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras and I will always love them, but the decision to come to Manchester City was easy. I want to become the best footballer I can be, and the conversations I had with Manchester City officials convinced me that there is no better place to achieve my ambitions."
The Brazilian player stated: "I promise Manchester City fans that I will give everything I have to make the most of this opportunity. Now the hard work begins, and I will give 100% in training and do everything I can to convince the coach that I deserve to participate."
Alan began his career in futsal before joining Vigorinense, then moved to Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, where he progressed through the youth teams to reach the first team. During the 2025/2026 season, he participated in 42 matches, scoring six goals and providing six assists.
