Three Real Madrid players ruled out for UEFA Champions League clash against Inter

Real Madrid will begin their UEFA Champions League campaign on September 8, when they host Inter at the Santiago Bernabéu at 10 PM. Several players will miss the match due to injuries and suspensions.

According to "Mundo Deportivo", Arda Güler, Eduardo Camavinga, and Bernardo Silva carry suspensions from last season's UEFA Champions League after the trio were sent off in their last matches of the previous edition of the tournament.

The newspaper explains that UEFA is disregarding the yellow cards received by players last season, but it is not cancelling the suspensions for red cards, meaning the trio will miss Real Madrid's first match in the UEFA Champions League unless an exceptional pardon is issued.

Güler and Camavinga were both sent off after receiving two yellow cards against Bayern Munich in last season's quarter-final second leg. The Turkish player received his second card for protesting against the referee after the match, but he was only punished with a one-match suspension, which is the same penalty that Camavinga received.

Bernardo Silva received a red card during Manchester City's match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg after preventing a goal with his hand. The match also saw Vinicius Junior score the penalty resulting from the incident.

The Spanish newspaper reports that José Mourinho will have to deal with the absence of Arda Güler, Eduardo Camavinga, and Bernardo Silva against Inter, unless their sanctions are lifted by an exceptional decision before the match.
