Arsenal are eyeing Inter forward in preparation for a potential signing
Arsenal are continuing to explore their attacking options for the future, with Italian striker Pio Esposito from Inter among the players the club is monitoring ahead of a potential signing in 2027.
TEAMtalk reported that scouts from Arsenal followed Esposito during the Italy vs Türkiye match in Bursa, where the 21-year-old scored in his country's 4-1 victory.
Arsenal are looking for a new striker and are linked with several names including Julián Alvarez, Nicolo Tresoldi, and Erling Haaland, but Esposito has become one of the options the club is seriously considering.
The striker has made a strong start with Inter, scoring two goals in his first five matches this season, following a successful loan spell with Spezia. He had scored 10 goals with Inter last season, before reaching 6 goals in 12 matches with the Italian national team.
The same source indicated that Inter have moved to protect their player by renewing his contract for 6 years, following interest from clubs including Manchester United and Barcelona, while Arsenal continue to assess their options in preparation for 2027.
At present, Esposito is still committed to Inter and is tied to a long-term contract, awaiting the outcome of Arsenal's pursuit of the player in the upcoming period.
