Aston Villa Signs Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea
Aston Villa has officially announced the signing of Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea in a permanent transfer, bolstering the team's attacking options ahead of the new season.
Jackson, who has 37 international caps for Senegal, participated with his country in the 2026 World Cup, before finalizing his move to Aston Villa after his stint with Chelsea.
The Senegalese forward will return to work under coach Unai Emery, who previously managed him during his time at Villarreal. Jackson's impressive performances at Villarreal were a key factor in his transfer to Chelsea in 2023, before he embarked on a new experience with Bayern Munich last season on loan.
Last season, Jackson was instrumental in Bayern Munich's triumph, helping the club secure both the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal. He scored 11 goals across all competitions.
Aston Villa hopes that the addition of Jackson will provide a strong boost to the team's attacking line, leveraging his previous experience in the English, Spanish, and German leagues, along with his prior knowledge of Emery's style.
The deal has cost Aston Villa's coffers €75 million, including add-ons.
