According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa has sent the player a long-term contract, while negotiations are currently underway to reach a final agreement on personal terms.

The English club's move comes with direct support from their manager Unai Emery, who is strongly advocating for the signing of the Senegalese forward to enhance the team's attacking options during the transfer window.

Aston Villa is expected to make an official bid to Chelsea for Jackson, once they finalize personal terms with the player.

Chelsea has expressed its willingness to allow Jackson to leave the team permanently if a suitable offer comes in, following his loan spell last season at Bayern Munich.
