Sibari bids farewell to Eindhoven after perfect start with Bayern

Moroccan international Ismail Sabiri returned to Eindhoven, Netherlands, today, Sunday, for a special visit to his former club PSV to bid farewell to the team, just hours after celebrating his first title with Bayern Munich.

PSV Eindhoven made sure to welcome their former player by sharing a photo of the player during his visit, accompanied by a touching message that read: "Happy to see you again, Ismail. We are proud of you," in a scene that reflects the strong bond between the two parties after the years the player spent at the Dutch club.

Sibari officially left PSV Eindhoven on July 1 to join Bayern Munich on a contract until June 30, 2031, in a deal described by the Dutch club as a record in its history.

The Moroccan player spent six seasons with PSV Eindhoven, having joined the club in the summer of 2020 from Genk. He gradually made his way into the first team, contributing to the club's success with three consecutive league titles, two domestic cups, and three Super Cup trophies.

Sibari has been awarded the Dutch League Player of the Season for 2025-2026, concluding his time with PSV Eindhoven after a career filled with titles and achievements.

Sibari's visit to Eindhoven comes right after making history with Bayern Munich, as he celebrated winning the German Supercup on Saturday following the Bavarians' 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund. This marked his official debut for the club and secured his first trophy with the German giant.

Sibari, 25 years old, wears the number 34 jersey with Bayern Munich after catching attention during his participation with the Moroccan national team in the 2026 World Cup, where he scored three goals in the group stage, before continuing his journey with the "Lions" in the knockout rounds.

Thus, Sabiri chose to return to the place where he shone and developed, but this time carrying with him his first title in his new adventure with Bayern Munich, in a farewell that combines loyalty to the past and the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
