PSG Shocks Liverpool with Huge Price Tag for Ibrahim Mbaye

Paris Saint-Germain has set a high price for the potential departure of their Senegalese winger Ibrahim Mbaye during the current summer transfer window, amid interest from Liverpool in signing the 18-year-old.

Kylian Mbappé is looking to leave Paris Saint-Germain because of the strong competition for attacking spots, especially with Liverpool showing clear interest in signing him recently.

Liverpool has already reached an agreement with Ibrahim Mbaye regarding a five-year contract, after which the English club will begin negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain to finalize the deal.

According to "Radio Monte Carlo Sport", Paris Saint-Germain has set a price range of €70 to €80 million for the sale of Ibrahim Mbaye, a figure that poses a hurdle for Liverpool's attempts.

Liverpool's management does not seem ready to pay the amount set by the French club, as Mbaye's value is estimated at around €50 million, while they are unwilling to exceed the €60 million threshold to complete the deal.

Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing as the deadline for the summer transfer window approaches on September 1, especially since Mbappé's contract with Paris Saint-Germain still runs for another two years.

Meanwhile, Liverpool continues to search for other options to bolster their attacking line, having moved to sign Yankuba Menteh from Brighton, but received rejections for two offers worth €70 million.

Ibrahim Mbaye is awaiting a resolution regarding his future, having missed the UEFA Super Cup match against Aston Villa, which ended in a 2-1 victory for Paris Saint-Germain, as well as the Champions Trophy match against Lens, where his team lost 1-0. It is expected that he will not participate with the French club until his future is determined.
