Brighton compete with Paris Saint-Germain for Said El Mala
Brighton have entered a race with Paris Saint-Germain to sign German Said El Mala, the winger from 1.FC Köln, after the player showed his admiration for the French club.
TEAMtalk reported that Brighton have become ready to sign Said El Mala and his brother Malek El Mala, after previous attempts to bring them in stalled due to their representatives' desire for the brothers to move to the same club.
Said, 20, had an impressive season in 2025/2026, scoring 13 goals and providing 5 assists with 1.FC Köln, attracting the interest of several clubs.
The player spoke about his name being linked to Paris Saint-Germain during an interview with "Sky Germany", saying: "It would be wrong to say that I am not proud of this interest, it is a great club, I have read about it too, but I am not sure what to think."
Despite having a distinguished group of wingers, Paris Saint-Germain may look to sign a new player following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's ACL injury.
Brighton are still hoping to secure the deal, benefiting from their readiness to sign the player's brother Malek, who is 21 years old.
