Paris Saint-Germain have decided to rest their Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi, who will miss the match against Troyes scheduled for Saturday evening at the Parc des Princes, as part of the Ligue 1 matchday 10.

Paris Saint-Germain has clarified that Hakimi, who is 28 years old, is not suffering from any injury, but he will receive a "rest period until the beginning of the international break," which starts next Monday, in a decision made in agreement between coach Luis Enrique and the club's sporting management.

The decision to rest the Moroccan full-back came after he participated in 14 matches out of 15 played by Paris Saint-Germain since the start of the current season, starting 13 of them in the starting lineup. This prompted the coaching staff to give him a chance to rest and regain his energy before the upcoming commitments.

Achraf Hakimi is set to head to Morocco after his break to join the national team led by Mohamed Wahbi, who has called him up to participate in matches against Niger on November 13 and 17, as part of the preparations and commitments related to the Moroccan national team.

This step falls within the rotation and workload management policy that Luis Enrique and his coaching staff rely on, as the Spanish coach is accustomed to granting some of his players exceptional rest periods based on their physical needs, as was the case with Ousmane Dembélé in August and October of last year, when he missed some matches due to a technical decision to maintain his readiness.
