Tottenham Targets Signing of Daniel Munoz
Tottenham Hotspur is aiming to sign Colombian defender Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace during the current summer transfer window, to replace Djed Spence, who has joined Inter Milan.
Djed Spence has left Tottenham permanently for Inter Milan, who paid around £30 million for his services, with the player signing a contract with the Italian club until 2031, according to Reuters.
Pedro Porro has become the only recognized right-back in the first team, prompting coach Roberto De Zerbi to look for a replacement for Spence. Munoz stands out among the options due to his ability to play as both a full-back and a winger.
The Daily Mail has reported that Tottenham is keen on acquiring Munoz, who has become a vital part of Crystal Palace since his move from Genk in January 2024, with Everton also showing interest in securing his services.
Munoz is tied to a contract with Crystal Palace until 2028, which gives the club a strong position in negotiations. Meanwhile, Tottenham's need for reinforcement at right-back has increased following Spence's departure.
Moniuth is considered a fitting option for Tottenham due to his experience in the Premier League, offensive capabilities, and tactical flexibility, along with the potential to provide De Zerbi with strong competition for Pedro Porro and an option capable of contributing immediately.
