Liverpool and Real Madrid compete to sign Brighton defender Vushkovich

Liverpool and Real Madrid are competing to sign Croatian Luka Vuskovic, Brighton defender, after his impressive performances this season, which may make Tottenham regret selling him during the last summer transfer window.

TEAMtalk reports that Fuskovic has joined Brighton for £50 million including add-ons, a club record, after leaving Tottenham, who signed Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, and Tosin Adarabioyo to strengthen their defense.

The site quoted Pete O'Rourke, a journalist at "Avs Futebol", stating that the Croatian defender possesses exceptional talent and great potential for development, noting Real Madrid's interest in his services, with expectations of interest from Liverpool as well.

Fuskovic has impressed with Brighton, having participated in all seven of the team's matches in the Premier League, contributing to just five goals conceded. He also scored his first goal against Leeds in the third round. The report indicated that Brighton values him at around £100 million.

In contrast, Tottenham have retained 20% of the player's resale profits, along with the right to match any offers made to him, according to "Sky Sports", which gives them the opportunity to make a similar offer to any offer received by Brighton, without having a clause to directly buy back the player.
